How do I know if my boiler is the right size for my home?

For combi boilers, the hot water demand is usually the biggest factor in choosing the right size, as the boiler needs to supply instant hot water. However, for heat-only boilers or the central heating side of a combi boiler, the total heat demand of your radiators is key.

To work this out, use our heating calculator to determine the required radiator output for each room. Once you have the total BTU requirement, you can size your boiler accordingly to ensure efficient and balanced heating without wasting energy.

Is the heating system flushed?

Yes, the heating system is flushed to remove sludge and debris. Installing a magnetic central heating filter helps keep the system clean and protected which are fitted on every boiler installation.

How long does a boiler installation take?

A like-for-like boiler replacement usually takes one day.

If the boiler is being installed in a new location or upgraded from a heat-only boiler to a combi system, the installation typically takes two days.

How long is the boiler warranty?

Warranty length depends on the boiler manufacturer. We usually provide two quotes: one with a 5-year warranty and another with a 10-year warranty.

To keep the warranty valid, the manufacturer requires annual servicing. During the covered period, any necessary parts will be replaced free of charge.

Do you fit radiators?

Yes, new radiators can be supplied and fitted if requested and added to the boiler installation quote.

Do you offer a guarantee or warranty on your work?
