FAQs

Yes, outside taps can be fitted anywhere. You have to run a water supply pipe to the new tap location, which can be difficult, but almost always possible.

I will work out how to fit an outside tap in any location you like and give you a fixed price quote.

For example, if you wanted to have a tap fitted in your garden or an outbuilding away from the house, then you would have to run a water pipe from your house to the newly fitted outdoor tap, and the pipe will need to be well insulated to help stop it from freezing in the winter.

A garden tap installation by HouseWarm is usually completed in less then an hour, but it could take longer if there’s lots of pipework needed to reach the water supply.

An outdoor tap not working could be for many reasons. The first thing you need to do is make sure you are getting water to the tap by checking the isolating valve is open on the water supply pipe.

Three possibilities: It could be that the iso valve is faulty, the check valve is blocked, or there might be a kink in a flexible hose on the water supply.

Yes, any work carried out by HouseWarm is guaranteed for a full 12 months and we will fix any problems caused by the installation or work done.

Brand new fittings and parts typically come with 12 month warranties from the supplier but sometimes second hand boiler parts are the best or only option and might not have a warranty.
