Why is my toilet constantly running?

Your toilet is constantly running typically because of two reasons:

The fill valve is not cutting out and constantly letting water in to the overflow pipe, or the flush valve is not closing properly.

What should I do if my toilet is clogged?

For a clogged toilet you should try pouring a bucket of hot soapy water into the pan and leaving it for half an hour to soak through. Then flush the toilet to see if it’s cleared.

Another thing to try is using a plunger to force the blockage away.

How do I fix a toilet that won't stop filling?

A toilet cistern that won’t stop filling is caused by a faulty fill valve. This will need to be replaced most of the time, but sometimes you can fix or adjust them.
